A Brief History

Roo has always had a love for wood and while farming was making garden furniture and at the request of a kindergarten teacher started making the toy wooden fences which has kept evolving as customer wishes are fulfilled.

On his retirement to Hawkes Bay he physically helped in the build of his new home and workshop and on completion began making wooden toys for his grandchildren and then in response to requests it expanded.

Sales initially were through word of mouth and then at Events and now our website.

So Roo can do what he loves doing best Prue manages the admin side and customer service.

We craft awesome stuff with great experiences

RooBWoodwork creates robust wooden toys so children learn to use their imagination while having fun. RooBWoodwork has designed toy farm yards with fences, swing gates, drafting gate, loading ramp, and utility shed as well as stable and jumps for horse mad kids. We have a range of wooden farm toys including Articulated trucks, Stock Truck, Low loader, Farm Bike, Trailers, Jeep, Ute, Frontend Loader, Small tractor, Logging Truck, Bulldozer and Horse Floats.

RooBWoodwork also has a range of toys from Doll’s High Chair, Doll’s Cradle to Helicopters, Car Garage, Toy Guns and Sets of Noughts and Crosses. Our Horse Swings and Wooden Quoit sets are very popular too.

RoBWoodwork makes wooden wares for the homemaker that wants something special or of their own design. In our current stock we have Chopping boards, Meat boards, Pizza boards, Wooden tongs, Spoons, Bread Saws, Ipad holders, Condiment holders, Egg Box, Men’s Gift Box, Wooden Shopping Lists, Towel Ladder, soap dish and a Franklin Chair/Ladder combination. Our Wooden Bath racks are a speciality and made to order.
